Clinigen appoints Fernando Ballester as Chief Financial Officer

LONDON, UK, 2 July 2024 – Clinigen, the global pharmaceutical services company, today announces the appointment of Fernando Ballester as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1 August 2024. Fernando, who has a background in audit and financial planning and analysis, joins Clinigen with an impressive track record.

Fernando has held a number of CFO positions for both listed and Private Equity backed businesses in the pharmaceutical sector, most recently at ICE Pharma in Italy since 2019. In his two decades working at world leading companies in different countries, he has been responsible for local, regional and global finance operations ranging from $60M to $1B. His extensive experience includes M&A, business integration, restructuring programs, finance transformation, commercial and operational excellence programs and ERP implementation.

Fernando’s deep financial acumen, strategic vision, and proven leadership skills will be instrumental as Clinigen continues to drive revenue growth and expand its service offering to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Fernando is also a qualified accountant and holds an MBA from Sao Paolo Business School.

Fernando’s appointment is another step to help Clinigen further advance into a world leading pharma services company, aiming to get essential medicines across the world to the patients that need them the most.
