Suzanne Aitken Senior Vice President, Managed Access

Suzanne has more than 20 years industry experience and is currently SVP of Managed Access at Clinigen, having joined in January 2013. Since joining Clinigen, Suzanne has been intricately involved in managed access programs; first setting up and running on behalf of clients and, since 2015, leading the growing Program Management function and now Business Unit and with oversight and governance responsibility across the Clinigen MAP portfolio. Prior to joining Clinigen, Suzanne worked client side in large pharma R&D within a range of technical, leadership and project management roles. Suzanne has a PhD in Chemistry. 

Jenny Pearce Vice President, Client Delivery

Jenny has over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Her breadth of experience spans project management, strategic account management, business development, supply chain and operational excellence. Her prior positions have been with both top-tier Pharma and leading clinical trial service providers in the industry. Jenny's former roles enable her to work with personnel in a variety of different operational departments, throughout the lead clients organization & wider global outsourced & vendor teams. Jenny utilizes her various skills in her capacity as VP Client Delivery to understand the requirements of customers and deliver solutions that meet their needs, keeping in mind regulations, budgetary constraints and time-sensitive deadlines. Jenny is experienced in leading cross-functional teams to deliver the customer’s program and organizations goals while keeping an eye on individual contribution and performance. Jenny holds a BSc Honours Degree in Medical Science & Pharmacology.   

Nicky Wisener Vice President, Business Development

With over 20 years’ experience in the Pharma industry, Nicky worked at both AstraZeneca and Servier Laboratories in various commercial roles prior to moving to Clinigen 15 years ago. Having initially spent 8 years in the Business Development function within Managed Access, educating and designing Managed Access Programs with multiple biotech and Pharma companies, Nicky moved into an Operational role as Client Director, responsible for a portfolio of Managed Access programs and a team of Program Managers tasked with the successful delivery of a vast and diverse range of programs. In Sept 2020, Nicky re-joined the Business Development team as VP, and is responsible for new business, Consulting, strategy and service development within the Managed Access business unit.   

Chris Hodgson, Vice President, Real World Data

Chris has worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years. Starting with 10 years at GSK across a variety of commercially focused roles. Since 2008, Chris has been involved in the collection and analysis of Real-World Data at companies such as OPEN Health, CorEvitas and HealthCare at Home, in roles including Business Development Director and more latterly, Commercial Director RWE Europe. Chris joined Clinigen in September 2023, as VP Real World Data, leading our growing team of RWD Specialists, coordinators, and analytic services. 

Renier Heine Senior Vice President, JAPAC

With a passion for healthcare, Renier began his career as a pharmacist and consistently motivated himself to keep learning whilst focusing on serving the needs of customers and patients. As an innovative marketeer, Renier launched two blockbuster drugs during the first 8 years of his pharmaceutical career, Pegasys (interferon alfa 2a) whilst at Roche Products and Abbott’s Humira (adalimumab). After joining Clinigen in 2008, Renier re-engineered the Homemed device business before moving to Singapore in 2013 to set up Clinigen in SEA. In this role, Renier successfully established Clinigen’s Singapore Hub, Hong Kong and Malaysia, all of which becoming profitable in year 1. In 2018 Renier moved to Australia and took responsibility for Clinigen JAPAC, where he and his team delivered more than 200% profit growth over a 5-year period. 

Carel Bouwer Managing Director, Clinigen South Africa

Carel is a pharmacist by profession and completed his master’s degree in pharmaceutical formulations.  His passion for people and assisting healthcare providers and patients to access medicines led him to join Clinigen South Africa in 2009.  He started his tenure at the African affiliate overseeing the unlicensed medicine department and established the company as the leading supplier of unlicensed medicine in South Africa.  He continued his growth in the organisation and was responsible for business development in the African region.  He was appointed as the managing director for the African affiliate in 2018. In his role he oversees the African affiliate which consists of various operational entities including licensed and unlicensed pharmaceutical products and medical devices.  He has successfully expanded the organisation and onboarded partnerships with principles across the globe to market and distribute their products in Sub Saharan and East Africa .

Eiji Nakane Managing Director, Japan

Eiji has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry having worked at Roche, Chugai and Astellas before joining Clinigen in April 2023 as Managing Director for Japan. His main expertise is in Corporate and Portfolio Strategy, New Product Planning and Marketing of pharmaceutical businesses. He has held leadership positions in the US, Japan, UK and Taiwan. 

Danny Wu General Manager, China

Danny has more than twenty years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong commercial expertise across business development, marketing, sales, and government relationships. Before joining Clinigen China, Danny was the General Manager of Harbour Biomed based in Shanghai, a leading antibody technology pharma company listed on the Hong Kong stock market. Danny started his pharmaceutical career with Roche, followed by Pfizer and MSD. He’s a proven leader in the pharmaceutical arena having successfully launched several innovative oncology products and has developed solid experience in other therapeutical areas such as immunology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, urology and rare disease. 

Gina Choi General Manager Korea

Gina has worked as a Business Development leader in the pharmaceutical industry for 18 years. During this time, Gina has made numerous partnership deals and launched innovative medicines, rare disease treatments and radioactive pharmaceuticals. With broad experience across various kinds of products, Gina has built a deep knowledge and connected resources in the Korean market.
