Clinigen and Orion GXP Consulting win Best Strategic Partnership at the Irish Life Science Industry Awards

Award-winning collaboration established a new European supply pathway under challenging regulatory and operational conditions, helping ensure uninterrupted patient access

Clinigen and Orion GXP Consulting have been recognised with the Best Strategic Partnership award at this year’s Irish Life Science Industry Awards for a collaboration that enabled continued European access to a critical oncology treatment in a highly complex regulatory environment.

The project brought together Clinigen's expertise in access to medicines with Orion's specialist regulatory and quality capabilities, to establish an entirely new importation and batch-certification pathway in Ireland when no existing route was available. The solution helped maintain uninterrupted access to a critical treatment for patients.

“As therapies become more complex and healthcare systems more interconnected, ensuring patients can access treatment requires new levels of collaboration across the pharmaceutical ecosystem. This award recognises what is possible when regulatory, quality and supply chain expertise are brought together around a shared purpose. Most importantly, it recognises a partnership that helped safeguard access to a critical treatment for patients who depended on it.” Said Dr Varun Sethi, CEO at Clinigen

Commenting on the partnership, Orion GXP Consulting said:

"The partnership was about much more than establishing a European supply route; it was about protecting patient access to a critical oncology treatment."

The achievement was recognised by judges as a "best-in-class example of a strategic partnership characterised by genuine shared accountability", noting both the immediate patient impact and the creation of a scalable regulatory and supply model.

As advanced therapies and specialist medicines place increasing demands on global supply chains, the project demonstrates the value of combining regulatory expertise with operational execution to overcome access barriers and maintain continuity of care.
